Desperately needing help. My notes are all gone

Just as the title says, I really need help. I recently backed up my data on my phone and restored it, then when I went back into the app, everything was all gone. I’m slightly panicking as I had some important notes on there that took me a while to write and I worked hard on, and I made sure to back up all my important things. Please help

Hi. You know, the Simplenote app works with cloud storage provided by Automattic. The local copies, which seem important to us, are really just local copies. Have you tried logging out and logging back in to Simplenote? That should resync your phone app with the server.
The best way to have a secure backup of your notes is to login to app.simplenote.com in a browser. Select Settings, Tools, Export Notes from the side menu and you should receive a notes.zip file containing all your stuff. I do this every Sunday, rename the file, and save it to another cloud server.
