Customized SimpleNote for Self-Hosting

  Hi,

  I come across the below projects are added license as GPL-2.0 license

  Is it possible to customize and do the self-hosting in any server? Is the following are free to customize provided the end customized version or self-hosted one is free to use by anyone but not have any commercial sale/usage

  Basically want to be admin to host all the content and want everyone to access my content without any login and bypass for others.

  Hi @javadev2025 👋

  Thank you for considering using Simplenote to host your notes. The Simplenote app uses Simperium for backend sync, but we have stopped offering the API key for now. In that case, I’m afraid it’s not possible to use Simplenote on self-hosted environment.

  I wish you the best in discovering other solution that works for you.
