Ctrl + arrow keys doesn’t support Chinese text

  @zhangwei1864 To help us look into this, can you let us know more about what you wish to achieve with Ctrl + arrow keys? In addition, are you using one of the desktop apps or the web app? If you’re on a desktop app, which OS and version are you using?

  I’m using the Web app.

  The function of this keyboard shortcut is to let text cursor to directly jump between each words. But in Simplenote Web app, for Chinese text, it doesn’t work. The text curosr just move between each Chinese character instead of word.

  Would you share more information about your setup, so we can try reproducing it?

  • What operating system are you on? Are you on Windows or Mac?
  • What type of keyboard layout are you using? For example, Are you using Pinyin – Simplified? Shuangpin – Traditional?

  If you could share a screen recording of what you are seeing on your end, that’d be really helpful.

  Chrome, Windows 11.

  The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl + Left/Right arrow keys.

  Thanks for reporting this! I’ve passed along the issue with Ctrl + arrow keys not supporting Chinese text in the web app to our developers for further review. It will likely take some time to address, and unfortunately, I don’t have a timeframe for when and if this will be implemented.
