College/Specialization Notes for Students/Learners

    Hi,

    I’m creating college notes for each subject and topics – chapter, concept etc,

    I want to do the following

    a) categorize everything separately under each heading & sub-heading

    c) giving the complete access to my entire course for students by

    i) separate credentials for tuition students which deals with courses other than college subjects

    ii) common access to all students on the college subjects

    In any cases, student should not be able to edit or delete my content.

    publishing each note or each item would be a cumbersome effort on this

    Is the above is possible via simplenote?

    Hi. Not really. Simplenote is a very “simple” document creation tool for a single user. Aside from its simplicity, its main virtue is that it can be accessed from all platforms: Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, and web. Aside from being able to share a single note, it doesn’t really have any sharing features.

    It sounds like you really want a basic web creation tool, and a server to host it.

    exactly want a basic web creation tool but commercial is also fine…but looking for web creation tool which exactly look like simplenote with awesome search experience

    wordpress is not that good as simplenote interms of design for reading, search only text content…

    @johnmartin2024 Based on your particular goals, Simplenote does not seem to be the right solution.

    Simplenote is not meant to be a web creation tool and offers very little customization. On the other hand, there are many themes and plugins you can use to customize WordPress to how you want. Within the same Automattic family, for example, you can look into the Sensei LMS WordPress plugin for course creation. There are also different themes you can try and further customize based on the design you want.
