Can’t login on IOS 18.7.7

  Can’t login to Simplenote app since IOS 18.7.7 update – logging in manually gives ‘The network could not be reached’ message, logging in with email goes to the interface with no content and the forever spinning wheel at the top. I also get a blank screen when I login via Safari or Chrome. Deleted and reinstalled app, restarted phone, reinstalled, logged out, in, back out and in etc etc… Data’s all still there on the desktop so no worries about that. Any help would be appreciated!
