Can’t export notes from Simplenote via the web or apps

I’m trying to export my notes and have not been able to export all of them successfully. I’ve tried using the web, iOS app, MacOS App Store and Electron apps, and the Android app. Clicking the Export option in all of these except for the Android app appears to do nothing. In the Android app, I can export some of my notes, but if I load all of them in the app, the app creates a zero-byte Simplenote.json file and displays an error. I think the issue is that I simply have too many notes – I’ve been using Simplenote for over a decade and there are hundreds if not thousands in there. I would appreciate any suggestions. If anyone knows where notes are stored locally on a Mac by the application, I can try to retrieve them from there too. Thanks in advance!

Hmm. This works for me in the web app. Clicking on Export triggers a very quick download of a zip file. Seems like nothing happens, but look in Downloads and there it is. I do this every Sunday, using the iCabMobile browser on iPad, never had a problem.

Thanks. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work for me. What does work is using Chrome’s developer tools to navigate to the IndexDB and from there I can to convert my notes collection to JSON and download it. Not ideal but I’ve finally got a local copy!
