Cannot synchronize my notes, all crashe
-
Hi
I used your fantastic tool until today when it was broken.
My platforms: Android, MacOS application, Web
Today they stopped synchronizing! Moreover, when I logged into the web version, I did not see any of my notes anymore!
And it seems it doesn’t work at all
Thanks,
Alexey

Hi. For some reason, you cannot access the server at simperium.com. Try entering simperium.com in a browser to confirm. I don’t know why, but this happens to some users. Could you please identify your country, so we can see if this a regional problem?

I’m living in Germany.
All works well now! I’m IT engineer myself, I know what do you think about all of this haha. -
I have the same problem. Cannot access simperium.com. I’m in Indonesia using Indosat HiFi (https://hifi.ioh.co.id/)

@mysticdreamily99b0c8a48f Glad to hear all works for you now! Thanks for letting us know.
@agilehappilyf83e0593ec Do you still have this problem? If you use any other network connection besides Indosat HiFi, are you able to access and have your notes synced?

@agilehappilyf83e0593ec Glad to hear that. Thanks for letting us know. If you ever come across any sync issue again (hopefully not!), please don’t hesitate to let us know immediately. Thank you.

I can see my notes on my iPhone, but when I look on my laptop (Windows 11), I changed my password and it shows that I never had any notes.
No idea why I cannot send them on my lsptop but I do on my iPhone.
Assistance is appreciated.

Hi @giverbrief60cfebd82c. Are you using the web app (in a browser) or the iOS app on the iPhone? Same question for Windows, web app or Windows app?
I you’ve changed your password, you may need some help from the mods here. Seems like there is some magic that requires manual intervention.

I am also unable to sync on my Windows 11 PC this morning, in Australia. It is only showing the previously cached notes.
If I log into the web version, there are no notes displayed.
I’m glad I found this post and am relieved its not just me having problems. Fingers crossed the Simplenote boffins can get it sorted.

I tried using hot-spot via my mobile phone and I can sync.
So maybe some DNS or routing weirdness with certain ISPs/RSPs?
Using hotspot is a clunky workaround but I can use this for the time being.

Thanks for sharing that using a mobile hotspot as a workaround is successful.
This does sound similar to an issue we’ve been tracking down. Our systems team made some changes yesterday that we hope will alleviate these connectivity problems.
Since you found that a different network (your mobile hotspot) works, it does suggest a possible network-related issue with your usual connection. If you continue to have issues with your regular connection, you can also try restarting your Wi-Fi modem to get a new IP address from your ISP. If you use any sort of VPN, temporarily disabling it might also help.
