Cannot log in after changing email address

I changed the email address associated with my simplenote account, and now when I try to sign it, I get the message “Could not sign in with the provided email address and password.” When I enter my email address to reset the password, I don’t get a reset email. (checked spam already.)

I am able to login using my old email, but all of my notes are gone. I need some assistance to get back my notes.
