Can no longer log in on web app

I’m having the exact same issue as the people in https://forums.simplenote.com/forums/topic/cannot-log-in-after-changing-email-address/
The forum post above is closed and seems to indicate that someone from support will contact us by email to solve the problem.

Created wordpress account and used that to reset my password and that seems to have worked. But still the old email address instead of the new one. Guess I’ll just keep that old one…

@xakeppp Is your issue being unable to log in to the web app? Or did you also make a change of your Simplenote account email? If you didn’t make any changes, can you please try logging in again at https://app.simplenote.com/?

Same for me. Login is OK on the Android app, and Linux app.
But I need to login on the web app, to change settings on my account. Cannot:
“Could not sign in with the provided email address and password.”
Tested on Firefox and Brave, on Arch Linux, and Chrome and LibreWolf, on Windows 10. -
@sol2070alias can you try resetting your password? https://app.simplenote.com/forgot/ . This should resolve the issue. Please, let us know if it does not

Glad to know that resetting your password did the trick!
It might not have been that your password was incorrect. Instead, the reset password process could have triggered other actions that enabled you to log in.
Regardless, if anyone needs further help logging in, don’t hesitate to tell us. We may need to examine each case individually, as different situations could present different challenges.
