App crashes every time I open it on MacOS

    I’m on Ventura 13.4 and I get “Simplenote quit unexpectedly” every time I try to open it. Below is the beginning of the crash report. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling it, but that does nothing. Works fine on iOS.

    Hmmm. That SIGABRT usually means something in the system libraries failed so badly that it had to bring the house down.

    Hi! Can you try updating your macOS to Sonoma 14.2.1?

    I updated it to Sonoma and the same issue is occurring.

    Yes I’m online and can access via the browser. But I mainly use the desktop app while working, which is the one that is affected.

    I believe there are two different versions of the Mac Simplenote app, the one in the Mac App Store and the Electron version (https://github.com/Automattic/simplenote-electron/releases/latest). Which one are you using, and could you try the other? I believe the Electron version is meant to be more capable; don’t know about actually working, tho…
