Android widget issue
-
I have been using a SimpleNote widget on my phone (Android, Samsung Galaxy Note 10) home screen for at least a year. I use the “single note” widget. It has always shown the contents of my note.
I am upgrading to a new phone. (Android, Samsung Galaxy S25). The widget no longer displays the contents of the note.
Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?

I have widened the widget and it’s now showing content. So, on Android 12 (Note 10+) withthe ADW Launcher, the widget shows content when it is 2×2. On Android 16 with the One UI launcher, the widget ny shows content when it is 3×2.
This does not make sense to me.

That was a stupid thing to say. Let me try again.
I use this note as a quick access to tings I think about when out and about. Sometimes it has a checklist, sometimes it doesn’t. The content doesn’t matter. At 2×2, only the name shows, in the very center of the note. When I make the note wider, the content appears.

Thank you. That’s interesting that one widget works differently from the other. But they may provide hints for how to resolve.
