All notes & content lost after password update!

I used the “account” link in the web app to change my contact email address yesterday afternoon, which required verification. I clicked the link (@ 2:55p PT) to verify my email – and received the “success” message as expected. However, when I attempt to log into the app again, I continue to receive the following message: “Account verification required. You must verify your email before logging in to your account.

After no response to my email yesterday, I tried to change my password this morning to see if that allowed me to get around the error in the login flow. While I was able to change my password successfully for my account and log in…all of my notes and content from more than a decade of using the service are completely gone, as if my account is brand new.

Is this a known issue, or did the combination of changing my email and subsequently password somehow create a net-new account with no content in it? I attempted to recover a “forgotten password” using the login flow for the updated email address, but have not received anything from simplenote support, when previous automated auth emails arrive nearly immediately.

The email address I’ve used for this since account creation is simplenoteatfallingwithstyledotcom, updated earlier this week to colbyat(samedomain).

    Please help!
