Alephnote sync replaced Simplenote data
-
I had sync issues with Alephnote after starting up a Windows VM after many months of it not running- the Simplenote login credentials had changed so I had to update the login info for it to log in again, but it hadn’t cleared the old notes from almost a year ago so when it sync’d it updated all my other simplenotes with the old notes it seems. Or at least parts of it I can’t even be sure I just know notes I depended on are gone, completely changed.
I use the web UI in Vivaldi on Debian 12, so AFAIK I don’t have any history functionality to check for, and no I don’t have a .zip file backup either.
The trash seems to have sync’d too, looks old.
What can I do?

Hi. The Simplenote web app does include history for each note. It’s in the (…) menu. You might be able to unscramble your apparent losses by using history.

Thank you.
Might there be a way to bulk undo all my notes to a point in the same history?

Hi @cdvonstinkpot. Unfortunately, there is not a way to undo all notes in bulk to a previous revision. It must be done per note.
