  I love this app! One thing that would make it better would be if I could add pictures to a note . Any chance of that feature happening?

  As @jchlu kindly noted, we do support using Markdown formatting to embed an image in a note. As for uploading an image to our servers to save, as we do with text, that isn’t in our plans for the future, but I’ll let the team know you’d like to see it.

  Looking for an alternative to Evernote, this is the only feature holding me back. Would be willing to pay $20 – $40 / year, as a data point for yall.

  @cz5qmfwt we don’t have any immediate plans to implement this.

  I will note, if you’re looking for a notes app that offers the ability to insert images, you may want to consider Day One. It’s designed to be a journaling app, but could certainly be used for taking notes as well. If you’re interested, you can check out its full list of features and information about pricing — there is a free option as well.

  It’s kind of sad to see you recommending a totally different app. While Day One is a nice diary, it’s very different from Simplenote. For one thing, it stores entries by date! It doesn’t run on Windows or Linux. It’s 10x the size.

  Perhaps, to avoid the need to upload and store images on the Simplenote server, you could add an option to use Dropbox or Google Drive and attachments could be stored (and linked from) there. That would solve the problem of sharing images, which simple Markdown will not do.

  Me too I think in this times is neccesary to have the option to paste screenshots or images as our notes. I hope you add this option or unless have a local folder where to insert all images.
