Accidentally created hundreds of tags… how to clean up?

  I accidentally pasted a note into the tags area below a note and now I have hundreds of tags. Is there a quick way to purge all tags that don’t have a note or just remove all tags completely? Alternatively… if I delete my account can I create it again with the same email address? I am starting my account fresh again after not using it for a long time.

  Yes, you can reuse your email address after deleting your old Simplenote account.

  Just keep in mind that deleting an account is irreversible, and it will also delete all the notes within the account. If you want to keep any notes, consider exporting them first or moving them to another location. Once you create your new account, you can then move the notes back.
