  1. A tree-like directory structure could be added to make it easier to manage notes. Although the existing tag can somewhat replace this function, it would be more comprehensive and flexible if the two could be combined.
  2. The sorting methods of tags, currently only provide three kinds: Date modified, Date created, Alphabetical, it is suggested to add a free sorting method, you can press and hold the tag to move up and down the sorting order.

  Hi. Which system are you using Simplenote on? Tags in Simplenote (iOS and web) are only sorted alphabetically or not, which allows free ordering.

  Also, a directory hierarchy has been requested many times, but seems contrary to the essentially flat architecture of Simplenote. You can get a bit of this effect by searching for multiple tags. If you search for “tag:Sales tag:September tag:2024” it will find only notes tagged with Sales AND September AND 2024.
