a good portion of notes missing

I opened the app today and found a good portion of my latest notes missing. They just aren’t there, neither in the trash, nor in the export, nor in the apps on other devices and the web. Is there anything I can do about it? I have tried without success everything you advise in older replies when a note disappears.

Hi. Just to clarify, are individual notes missing, or just recent content in existing notes, or a bit of both?

Hi, the whole notes are missing. About three or four days ago done, completely. Conversely, the notes that I deleted in the last three or four days are back.

Right. Sounds like maybe the Simplenote system reverted to an earlier state. Need some help from the experts.

Yes, after this scary experience and no help from staff, I am definitely done with Simplenote and switched to another service.

If you still have Simplenote on your device here are a few things you could check.
Lost notes can usually be found either in the Trash or in the history of an existing note. We recommend checking the trash and revisions in whichever app you use the most, as well as the web app at https://app.simplenote.com.
You’ll want to sort the notes by the last modified date from the app settings before you start checking.
It’s worth restoring notes from the Trash so you can view their history. Pay particular attention to any blank notes you can see or titles you don’t recognize.
To search the history, open a note and click the clock icon at the top, then move the slider.
Also, use the search field to check for content that may have been in the note. We don’t recommend just searching for the title, as we’ve seen people have trouble finding notes when accidentally deleting or changing the title text.
