4 digit code
-
I’ve been using Simplenote for a few years. Recently on Android it is asking for 4 digit code. I don’t have a 4 digit code and never set one. Reinstalling does not help. How can I log in to Simplenote?

It should say that the code was sent to your email. Check the email associated with your Simplenote account. Also, if it says “Continue with password”, you can just use your Simplenote password.

Thanks, I don’t have a code from email. I may have deleted it on another device as I have many. How can I get it to generate a new code? Reinstalling doesn’t work.
Simplenote works fine on other devices, just this one, an Android tablet, I can’t start it or get a new code. It appears to save some settings when app is uninstalled so there is not prompt to allow new code or any other way to log in.

Hey @russnes4,
Here are two ways to access your notes:
- As was mentioned already, Simplenote offers login via email. This method sends a unique code to your email address for verification each time you log in.
- You can log in using your existing password without needing the verification code by tapping where it says log in manually. (If you’re using the web, you can also bookmark this page to log in without generating an email: https://app.simplenote.com/login-with-password/)
